University E-mail Service: Global Address List updates

Users of the University Email Service, that are using Outlook to check their email, may find that new users do not appear in the Global Address List (GAL). This is due to the fact that for Outlook users, the GAL will only update every 2.5 hours. Users that are newly added to the University Email Service will be available in the GAL after the next scheduled update (at most 2.5 hours after the user is added). This does not apply to those that are using the University Email Service Outlook Web App (OWA) at . Newly added users will appear in the Global Address List in OWA immediately after they are added.
