OSU Wireless-Network: Configuration Utilities

The osuwireless network is a highly secure wireless network. Access to the network uses your Ohio State Username (lastname.#) and password, and the configuration will need to be updated with your new password each time it's changed per the University Password Practices.

Most Operating Systems can be automatically configured using a utility provided by the OCIO. This is especially useful for both new users and devices, as well as for reconfiguring your device after changing your password at my.osu.edu.

Get your device connected to the secure wireless network, osuwireless, by following the steps below.

If your device is ON campus and is connected to an OSU network:
  1. Open a web browser
  2. Browse to go.osu.edu/secure_wifi
  3. Follow the on screen instructions

If your device is ON campus (excluding OSU Wexner Medical Center) but is NOT connected to a network:
  1. Connect to the WiFi@OSU wireless network
(For more information on WiFi@OSU please see this article)
  2. Open a web browser
  3. Attempt to browse to a website, such as www.osu.edu
You will be redirected to the "OSU Network Access" captive portal page
  4. Click on Secure Network Access for Students, Faculty and Staff.
  5. Follow the on screen instructions

If your device is OFF campus:
The configuration utility cannot be accessed from off campus. Please bring your device on campus or follow these instructions for manually configuring your device.
